Anxiety is actually a family of disorders with related symptoms. Our CBT treatment of anxiety disorders does not require (and even discourages) any medications, as we have found that the faster a client returns to normal baseline functioning, the sooner they can complete counselling.

CBT combines the cognitive (thinking) relationship to anxiety, with the behavioural (action) portion, to identify, challenge and modify thoughts and actions that create and maintain anxiety symptoms. CBT is a directive therapy, in that the counsellor will educate and train the client, but the client is ultimately responsible for applying and practicing the techniques learned in therapy.
